This is a results review sheet, the piece of a laboratory information system that decides whether results go out on time: every result is reviewed by someone other than the analyst, and the reviewers are usually the same people who have a bench of their own. Results per reviewer
400 results over two reviewers is 200 each a week, 40 a day. The figure is the one to put beside a reviewer's own bench load; a reviewer carrying 200 results and 120 samples has two full jobs. The sheet returns it and publishes no ceiling.
Rework, in results and in hours
A 5% rework rate on 400 results is 20 sent back a week, one more review hour on the worked example. The sheet separates the hours the rework costs from the first review, because the fix for one is training and the fix for the other is staffing.
